Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder in Medium- Review

I did it. I actually spent £35 on a face powder. But honestly, I don't regret a thing. Is that terrible? No, because this product is marvellous.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm OBSESSED with Kevyn Aucoin ( I have a review of his book Making Faces coming soon!) so I knew I had to have something from his line so I decided to get arguably his most famous product. Go big or go home right? "no", says Izzy's bank account

I was previously using NYX blusher in Taupe as my contour colour and it always looked muddy and I wasn't too impressed with the pigmentation; it took a lot of work to get some definition. I do recommend it as a cheap non-orange contour for paler skins however this Kevyn Aucoin powder is really something else.

I use the Nars Yachiyo brush to apply it as its beautifully tapered. I love that brush, a must have if you're a cheek product addict! Its the perfect colour and texture, a grey brown that doesn't look dirty just the exact colour of a natural shadow and the pigmentation is amazing (which is a relief considering it contains a measly 3.1g of product. Sigh)

I love the new packaging that comes sans brush too, as it saves space. It closes with a reassuring click which is nice as I read the previous packaging came open quite easily in makeup bags.

Wearing the powder with Laura Mercier mineral highlighter and Bourjois "Personne ne rouge"

Despite the eye watering price tag, I think every pale gal leaning towards the moon face direction like myself should own it. A stunning product!
